Pitch Update: Media agencies chosen for Budweiser and Beanz owners

Anheuser-Busch InBev – known as Budweiser Brewing Group in the UK and Ireland – has called off plans for a global media review this year and retained its three incumbent media agencies: Dentsu Aegis Network's Vizeum for North America, Europe and Africa; Publicis Media's Starcom for Asia-Pacific and Colombia; and WPP's MediaCom for the rest of Latin America. 

Campaign US reported plans for the review last December, with sources saying it was a global consolidation play. But a spokesperson told AdAge: "Despite our agency contracts coming up for review, we decided not to conduct a media review this year. We value our partnership with our agency partners greatly and look forward to continuing to work together."

Four agency groups are in the running for Sanofi’s global media business, which is being reviewed as the French drug maker looks to start testing a potential coronavirus vaccine on humans. Sanofi is understood to be considering Omnicom Media Group and IPG Mediabrands, as well as its two incumbent agency groups Havas (North America) and WPP’s Mindshare (rest of the world).
