Apple iPhone SE: UK price, release date, screen size and everything you need to know

Apple has revealed its updated iPhone SE, a smaller version of its flagship smartphones with a starting price of £419. 

The new phone features Apple's latest microchip - the A13 Bionic - as well as a single rear camera and a 4.7in Retina HD display.

Unlike current Apple flagship phones, the new SE also features a Home button and Apple's Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Here is everything you need to know:

iPhone SE release date

The new iPhone SE will go on sale online from April 17. Customers will be able to order it directly from Apple as well as through phone networks. 

The phone will be released on April 24.

iPhone SE price

The iPhone SE is the cheapest iPhone which Apple sells. It’s available for £419 for the 64GB model, £469 for the 128GB model and £569 for the 256GB model.

iPhone SE features

Apple’s latest iPhone includes a physical Home button and fingerprint sensor rather than the Face ID system found in newer iPhones.

It has the latest A13 Bionic chip also found in the iPhone 11 Pro, meaning it will be capable of running the latest apps without any lag.
